The Lagos State Government has reported the death of another COVID-19 patient in the state. Professor
Akin Abayomi, the Commissioner of Health for Lagos State, made this announcement while also
confirming 25 new cases of the coronavirus in the state.
The deceased patient was a 63-year-old Nigerian with no history of travel or contact with any confirmed
COVID-19 case. With this new fatality, the total number of COVID-19-related deaths in Lagos State now
stands at 7. The state has so far recorded a total of 217 cases of the virus.
